Anyone can register to use our ShopMobility scheme who has a physical need for assistance. We do not require ‘proof of disability’ however we do ask that you have a genuine need whether it be temporary or long term.

Our aim is to keep people as independent as possible; we want to help make Lincoln as accessible as possible. If you have never used mobility equipment before and would like to try it, feel free to talk to a member of staff and we can arrange a time for you to pop along and we can train you on it and you can trial it before you decide if you’d like to register.

You must register to use the scheme (please be aware that we are not linked with other Shopmobility schemes and do not accept any other schemes membership). The annual fee for this is £20.00. Your registration** is then valid for a full calendar year from your registration/renewal date. We require photographic proof of ID plus proof of address. Once registered you will be able to hire any equipment* for FREE within our opening times. Although we do not charge a hire fee for registered users, donations are always really appreciated. In addition to the annual fee, you will also have to undertake a yearly safety check. Part of the safety check is ensuring that we provide you with the correct equipment as we have two types of scooters which have different weight classification. Our four-wheeled scooters will carry users up to 21 stone (133kg) and our three-wheeled scooters will carry users up to 32 stone (203kg) in weight.
